Delete branch "chore/archive-recovered-design-work"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
Scope
This PR preserves two pieces of earlier design work that existed only on one Mac. Forgejo returned 404 for both commits before this PR.
archive/design-system-superset-2026-06-28/(109 files)f5c7411, 2026-06-28archive/ds-bundle-snapshot-2026-10-07/(60 files)e746ae0, 2026-10-07dist/. It includes DM Mono fonts. Both are frozen reference, not live. Their values are stale (primary
#CC5C37; DM Mono was dropped 2026-09-11), and nothing builds from them. The original commits are also kept as annotated tags,archive/design-system-superset-20260628andarchive/ds-bundle-snapshot-20261007. Both tags are already pushed, and the commits now resolve on Forgejo. Also in this PR:
archive/README.md: provenance and rules (read-only, never import, salvage by rebuilding in the live tree with Keff and leadership sign-off)..gitattributes: marksarchive/**as vendored and generated, so it stays out of language stats.CLAUDE.md: the "lost … never recovered" line now points at the recovered copy, andarchive/is added to "Submodule Rules" and "Where things live".The salvage review (an inventory of what's worth rebuilding into the live system) is a separate follow-up PR. This PR makes no brand or token changes.
Testing
git add, so* text=autochanged nothing.generator/tests/unit/test_archive_inert.py:udg/,tools/,.forgejo/,generator/,justfile, pre-commit,.mcp.json) names a datedarchive/<name>-YYYY-MM-DDfolder.archive/holds no*.forgeblock.jsonand has a README.udg/generators/_miniyaml.pymade it fail.udg/generators/archive. A first, broader pattern caught both, and I narrowed it.just checkpasses.assets.py, the sibling-repo scan inalign_check, Vale (limited to docs and non-fatal), and the path-scoped pre-commit hooks. None of them reacharchive/.mask-typein an SVG). Gitleaks and Trivy run in CI on this PR.Impact Statement
archive/.dist/changes.Docs
archive/README.md(new) andCLAUDE.md.Separately,
CLAUDE.mdstill says the 2026-06-27 cut-over was "archived off-repo totoilville-brand-archive/". No repo by that name exists on Forgejo. The archived predecessor isToilville/toilville-brand. I left that wording alone; it's worth a decision.
