Inventory the recovered design-system superset against the live system, and decide what, if anything, is worth bringing back. This is a review document only. It makes no brand, token, logo or component changes; anything worth salvaging gets its own PR later, with Keff's and leadership's sign-off.

Background

The authored design system imported from the claude.ai Design project on 2026-06-28 was believed lost after the 2026-06-27 cut-over. It turned up as an unpushed local branch and is now on main, read-only, at archive/design-system-superset-20260628/ (#202, #204), with tag archive/design-system-superset-20260628 → f5c7411. The archive is inert: nothing builds from it, and generator/tests/unit/test_archive_inert.py enforces that. Its values are stale: primary #CC5C37 against today's #C05734, and DM Mono, which was dropped on 2026-09-11.

Deliverable

archive/design-system-superset-20260628/SALVAGE.md, delivered by PR. For each group, mark every item candidate / superseded / out of scope, with a one-line reason:

No files outside SALVAGE.md change; just check and python -m pytest generator/tests/ pass.

Review is up in #209: archive/SALVAGE-design-system-superset-20260628.md. It sits beside the archived folder instead of inside it, so the folder stays a byte-exact copy of f5c7411. The icons and illustrations section is marked pending until #207 is answered. just check and all 343 generator tests pass. Not merged; it needs review.
