Investigate making the Chromatic a standalone Ableton Link peer through ESP32 WiFi/lwIP or USB-Ethernet, removing the required host bridge.

Acceptance criteria:

  • Produce a viable architecture and resource budget.
  • Validate the networking and timing approach against the ESP32/FPGA split.
  • Document delivery risks and a recommended implementation plan.
