No *vscode*, *xcode*, or .xccolortheme artifacts exist (the only grep hits are inside
node_modules). Unstarted.

Natural shape: a new emitter alongside the existing udg/generators/wp_theme.py and
udg/generators/native.py, writing to dist/<product>/.

Mirrored from forge wish 1e8e847c.

I looked into this. There’s no concrete consumer or workflow for branded VS Code/Xcode themes today, and syntax highlighting would require theme-specific design decisions that aren’t represented in the current UDG tokens. So I don’t think this needs implementation yet, but I’m happy to keep it open as a backlog item until there’s a concrete use case.

I think the greater need is code styling IN the udg. Ill review and create a new ticket when I have better sense of what I'm looking for.

Closing as deferred. ville's 2026-09-29 assessment found no consumer for branded VS Code or Xcode themes, and syntax highlighting needs token decisions UDG doesn't have yet.

The real need, code styling inside UDG, is now #217. If a consumer for editor themes appears later, they can be generated from those tokens. Nothing was built here, so nothing needs reverting.
