Design a systematic family of 20 icons for behavioral-fidelity dimensions.

Dimensions: Agency, Autonomy, Acuity, Accountability, Authenticity, Benevolence, Belonging, Boldness, Breadth, Brightness, Clarity, Compassion, Consistency, Creativity, Curiosity, Dignity, Depth, Durability, Diligence, Dynamism

Status: Themeable, pending-pua
Priority: P4–P5 — Design completeness
Effort: 8–12 hours total (entire family)

Design Approach

Major undertaking. Recommend systematic visual language:

  • Core glyph + modifiers: One base shape with variations
  • Consistent properties: Stroke, scale, visual rhythm
  • Semantic grouping: Related dimensions cluster visually
  • Scalability: Works at 16–64px

Examples

  • Circle with internal patterns (empty, split, filled, etc.)
  • Geometric evolution (simplicity to complexity)
  • Meaningful modifiers (arrows, additions, variations)

Acceptance

  • All 20 designed with coherent system
  • SVG + PNG delivered

Delivered: 20 icons — the full spel.dim.* family

spel.dim.00 … spel.dim.19, SVG + PNG. PUA U+E90B–U+E91E, matching udg/icon-registry/src/registry.ts L277 (PUA_BASE + 11 + i) — already reserved, nothing proposed.

Same method and same output shape as the first 25: a single <path fill="#000000" fill-rule="evenodd"> with real transparency where the white was, PNG at 512px transparent. Verified by compositing back over white and pixel-diffing the original: 19 of 20 under 0.5% differing pixels, spel.dim.01 (Autonomy) at 2.06% — all of it one-pixel edge shift along the finger contours, no structural change.

Numbering: 16 of 20 moved

The Affinity artboard labels were in a different order from the registry. Names are named per registry.ts L266-271, which is authoritative, so the artwork was remapped by name, not by position:

00 Agency, 01 Autonomy, 05 Benevolence and 13 Creativity were already on the right number.

Two notes for whoever picks this up

The per-icon viewBox is deliberate, not an oversight. Disc radius is exactly 80 in all 20; the frames differ (160×160 for fifteen of them, up to 243×160 for Breadth) because some glyphs extend past the disc. That matches how the first 25 shipped — spel.defederation is 131×160, spel.lineage 173×173. If a common em box is ever needed for font use, it should be done for all 45 at once rather than per family.

registry.ts L262 still says "Placeholder implementation; adjust to match your canonical clustering". The clustering is now fixed by shipped artwork, so that comment should go or be rewritten.

Acceptance status

That leaves spel.tribunal.pragmatic as the only remaining icon in the set. It currently shares the ⚖️ OpenMoji stand-in with spel.tribunal.frame-invariant, so the two tribunal states are visually identical today.
